For What It's Worth ("FWIW," "we," "us") provides creative services through forwhatitsworth.work (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
1. Information we collect.
When you submit a request, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the details of your request, your offer amount, and any notes you provide. If your request has a cost and you choose to proceed, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment card details directly — we never see, receive, or store your full card number.
2. How we use your information.
We use this information to review and respond to your request, communicate with you about its status, schedule and manage the work, send you confirmation and status-update emails, and process payment only when a request is accepted (and only for the amounts and timing described in our checkout flow and Terms of Service). We may use an automated classifier to help sort incoming requests into general categories (e.g. "Branding," "Video Production") for our own organization; this does not affect whether your request is accepted.
3. Who we share it with, and how.
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site and fulfill requests, and only through secure, encrypted, direct API integrations at the moment you submit a request, save a payment method, or a status update is triggered — never by selling, renting, or bulk-transferring lists of customer data:
3.1 Stripe
Your name, email, and payment card details are sent directly from your browser to Stripe (via Stripe.js/Stripe Elements) to securely collect and process payment information; we receive back only a payment method reference, never your full card number. See Stripe's own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
3.2 Resend
Your name and email are sent via API to deliver confirmation and status-update emails.
3.3 Cloudflare
Your request details are sent via API to Cloudflare's database (D1) for storage, its Turnstile service for bot-protection on our forms, and its Workers AI service for the automated categorization mentioned above; Cloudflare also hosts the Site itself.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this Site.
4. Cookies.
The Site may use a single functional cookie to remember that you've verified access to the Site while it's in limited/private testing. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
5. Data retention.
We keep request and payment records for as long as reasonably necessary for our business, accounting, and tax purposes, or as required by law. You can ask us to review, correct, or delete your information at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security practices.
We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to safeguard your information:
— All data between your browser and our Site, and between our Site and the providers listed in Section 3, is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS.
— Payment card details are collected and stored exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor; our own systems never receive, transmit, or store full card numbers.
— Request data is stored in Cloudflare's database infrastructure, access to which is restricted to us via authenticated, access-controlled admin tools.
— Our admin dashboard is protected by Cloudflare Access, requiring individual authentication before any request data can be viewed or managed.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not store any data beyond what's described above.
7. Your choices and rights.
You can email us at [email protected] at any time to ask what information we have about you, request corrections, or request deletion of your information, subject to what we're required to retain for legal or accounting purposes.
8. Children's privacy.
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent changes.
