Doodle illustration of Conor pondering a question

Everything you probably want to know before you hit submit.

So what exactly can I ask for?

Pretty much anything creative you think I might be able to help with. Professional, personal, important, ridiculous, or somewhere in between. If you can type it into the box, you can ask.

Seriously, anything?

I mean, within reason. I’ve spent 15 years working across advertising, writing, design, filmmaking, editing, branding, and creative problem-solving. If it involves making something, fixing something, figuring something out, or just making something better, there’s a pretty good chance I can help. And if I can’t, I’ll tell you.

How do I submit a request?

Tell me what you need, decide what it’s worth to you, answer a few quick questions, and hit submit. No account. No giant creative brief. No awkward introductory call required.

Can I really offer $0?

Yep. $0 is still an offer. I consider every request individually, and a smaller offer doesn’t automatically mean a pass. Sometimes something is interesting, meaningful, weird, fun, or just feels worth doing.

Does submitting guarantee you’ll do it?

No. I review every request based on the ask, offer, timing, workload, and whether I’m actually the right person to help. If I can take it on, you’re in. If I can’t, I’ll let you know.

Am I charged when I submit?

No. For paid requests, you’ll securely provide a payment method when you submit, but nothing is charged unless I accept your project. If I pass, you pay nothing.

So when do I actually pay?

If I accept your project, 50% of your total is charged when the project begins. The remaining 50% is charged when the project is complete. For a $0 request, obviously, there’s nothing to charge.

Do you ever give refunds?

Only under rare circumstances, like an accidental charge, the wrong card being used, or a mistaken upgrade selection. If you think something went wrong, email [email protected] first and tell me what happened. If it meets my criteria, I’ll send you a link to a short refund request form on the site, and you’ll hear back from me personally once I’ve reviewed it.

How do I know you received my request?

As soon as you submit, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your unique FWIW confirmation code. Hang onto it. You can use it with your email to track your request anytime.

How long will it take to hear back?

As soon as I can. How long that takes will depend on how many requests come in and what else I’m working on. In the meantime, you can always track your request to see where things stand.

Why wasn’t my request accepted?

A pass doesn’t necessarily mean your offer was too low or your idea wasn’t good. It might be timing. Workload. Fit. Or I might simply not be the right person for it. If I pass, I’ll let you know why, and if I know someone else, I’ll be sure to recommend them.

Do you have fixed rates?

Not here. That would kind of defeat the whole idea. You tell me what the project is worth to you. For larger productions, ongoing engagements, or projects that require additional people or resources, we can talk separately about scope and costs before anything begins.

What if I need something, like, yesterday?

That’s what the Rush upgrade is for. Add it to your request during checkout and if I take the project, it moves to the top of my queue and I’ll get it done as soon as humanly possible.

What’s VIP?

Some projects are pretty straight forward. Others need more talking, texting, Zooming, feedback, figuring things out, and circling back. VIP keeps that communication open while the project is active, so we can collaborate more closely along the way.

Can I give feedback on the work you send me?

Absolutely. This isn’t a vending machine. I make something, you react, I listen, and I finish it up. Exactly how much back-and-forth makes sense depends on the project, and we’ll make sure we’re aligned before I start.

What happens if you can’t do what I’m asking?

I’ll tell you. If it’s outside my wheelhouse, I may even know someone better suited for it. Either way, you won’t be charged for work I can’t deliver.

How do I know what’s happening with my project?

Use your confirmation code and email on Track Your Request to see where things stand. You’ll also hear from me as your request moves through the process.

Can my request stay private?

Absolutely. Your request and anything I create for you can remain completely private. I won’t publicly share your project without your permission.

Do I own what you make for me?

Once the project is complete and paid for, the final work created specifically for you is yours, subject to the terms we agree to for the project. If there are any exceptions, third-party materials, licensing considerations, or other restrictions, we’ll sort those out before the work begins.

Are you actually doing the work?

Yes. This is intentionally a human creative service. You’re sending the request to me, and I’m the person thinking about it, making it, and responding to you.

Where can I see other work you’ve done?

You can find the link to my full portfolio at the bottom of the About page.

Why is the website bright green?

The color actually started for a more personal reason: my mom is losing her vision, and I wanted to build something she could see a little more easily.
